This customer had a problem with his main sealed unit, which was bady bowed in the centre. Essentially the Largest sealed unit to the centre of his window frame had been made from the wrong glass for such a large unit. It had been constructed from normal 4mm float glass which was just not strong enough to Stay rigid and was bowing inwards.
Unfortunately that meant that the inner and outer pieces of glass were almost touching in the centre of the sealed unit. This created distortion in the outside view, made a unit almost as cold as a single piece of glass. Under stress on the outside of the unit had caused the seal to blow And condensation had leaked in.
This is typical over cheap or amateur installation. It also risked the unit shattering which was a serious health hazard.
We created a new sealed unit from a thicker stronger glass which solved the problem.
