Do I need to change my existing window frame?
In most cases we can change the glass unit within the existing UPVC window frame.
UPVC windows are strong and can last years if looked after. That being said, glass technology has changed drastically over the years and a new sealed unit installed in your existing window frame will improve the insulation and heat retention of your property.
We only install A class glass units and an improved seal to stop leakage and heat loss.
This is much more cost effective than ripping out your existing (and probably still perfectly good) UPVC window frame for no reason.
If you have a a particular issue with the functionality of a particular UPVC frame we can look at repair or replacement but in most cases this is not needed.
Why should I use Thermaglass?

How do you change a glass unit?

We have a no-nonsense pricing policy and are happy to give you a guide price over the phone. Rough measurement will be fine.
Technical survey
We will check all the measurements and produce a technical survey.
As these are made to measure we take a 30% deposit.
Manufacture
We will manufacture highly efficient sealed units to fit your existing frames. We only use the best possible technology for maximum insulation and energy saving.
Installation
Our local installers will attend site to install the units. They have years of experience and there will be little or no mess. We will clean the new glass.
Before you call Thermaglass.
It's a simple matter to take some rough measurements of your sealed units.
Simply run a tape measure from the left edge of where the glass begins to the right edge where the glass finishes. This is best done in centimetres but if you feel more comfortable in inches we can use those measurements too. Once you have measured the width simply measure the height using the same technique. Write those down on a piece of paper before you call and we can easily give you a price.
Of course there are many more measurements to take to manufacture an actual sealed unit. We need to assess unit thickness, beading type, security fixings and security glass requirements but we can do these at point of survey if the price is agreeable.
